It has been a very busy summer. With 10 shows a month, we are trying to find time to finish up some of our original material and make our way into a studio. We have about 25 original tunes completed and are looking forward to picking out 12 or so and put them on a CD. We have had a great run this summer and with bookings into next year already, we won't be letting up any time soon. We are branching out more and playing further from our home base of Angleton, TX. We look forward to our upcomming shows in Santa Fe, Magnolia, Bay City, and Pasadena as well as The Great Texas Mosquito Festival in Clute. We appreciate the support of our fans and look forward to making new fans with each show we play. Check us out on Face Book, My Space, Twitter, and Reverb Nation. You can find the links on our main page. We hope to see you soon. Post Title. 03/30/2010
Well, after a weekend off, we got back to the grind with 2 shows at the Angleton IceHouse. They were having a Crawfis Boil-Off and a great time was had by all. The beer definately goes down better with a bunch of spicey mud bugs. We had a great time and saw some old friends we haven't seen in a while and life was good. We added a couple of new Dwight Yokum songs "Close Up The Honky Tonks" & "Turn It On, Turn It UP, Turn Me Loose", Eddy Raven's "I Got Mexico", Me & Bobby McGee, and several other songs. We had a great time as usual. We are now getting ready for our first gig at SouthBound 35 IceHouse in Sweeny. If you don't want to drink and drive, we can't blame you, but the good news is that they have an RV park on site. So, bring you camper, drink as much as you want, and walk. See you Saturday! We had a great weekend show in Bay City. Thanks to everyone in Matagorda County who came out to support us. We also thank the folks from the Angleton, Danbury, Pearland, and Lake Jackson that made the trip over to check us out at Ms. Audry's place, The Neon Moon. Keep an eye on our schedule as we are beginning to book some Houston area Clubs and if you are up for a Road trip, we would love to have the support. We are playing a priveate party Tuesday evening this week with Special Guest, Leo Brock. He played local honky tonks for more than twenty years with his band The Sundowners. It is an honor since he taught 2 of the band members how to play. Definately looking forward to it. We will be off this coming weekend to spend time with the kids for spring break, then back to the grind the next weekend. See you soon. We had a great time this weekend. We played the Armadillo Ballroom Friday night and had a good time. Special shout out to Jarrod & Darrin Vrazel with http://www.acountry.com and http://www.zrock.com for helping us out with the video. We hope to record several shows and use a couple of live tracks on the CD we hope to be starting on in a month or so. We will also use some of the video footage on our website, so come out and check out our shows & who know's, you may end up in one of the video's. The Armadillo was good time. Not quite the crowd we had last time, but still a good crowd. Check out our schedule for future dates at the Dillo and check out their web site. You can find a link in our frieds of SMB tab. Cooter Browns was a blast. We had a few people celebrating birthdays with us and one 40th anniversary party going on. We had a good time and played until they turned the lights on and started running people out of the hall. It was another good weekend and we look forward to seeing you all again soon. Well, we had a great time this weekend. It was great to make another trip to Margurites. Billy wanted us to say thanks to the old friends that made it out to see us play. We would also like to thank the staff for the great hospitality. We are booked there trhough the end of the year, so keep an eye on our schedule. We will have it updated soon. If you missed us at Ronnies on Saturday, you missed a great time. One of our local country music hero's, Mr. Leo Brock took the stage with us and it was our pleasure. Not only can he bring it on the guitar, but he still has the voice to front any country band. It was truely an honor for us. We can't wait for next weekend. Check out our schedule page and don't miss out on future shows. Post Title. 02/15/2010
The SourMash Band had another great weekend. We played the Neon Moon in Bay City Saturday night and the crowd was EXCELLENT. All we can say is, thank you Ms. Audry and staff for making the SMB feel at home when we play there. We always have a great time, but this time was over the top. We would like to welcome our new fans and look forward to seeing y'all next month when we will be playing there again. We played a valentines day gig at Ronnie's IceHouse in Brazoria Sunday afternoon and the turn-out was great. We would like to thank our friends from The Live Bait Band for showing up. We look forward to seeing you guys play real soon. Thanks to Jennifer, Lisa, Mark, Mamma Kay, and our other regulars that made the trip and stayed thru the rain storm to party with us.
